Mafruha Murphy has a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Commercial law specializing in energy Litigation from the City University of London, UK. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in July 2011. She is a member at the Centre for Energy Petroleum Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee, Scotland and attended the Certificate in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration at the University of Roma TRE, Rome Italy.

Mafruha has worked in the UK for many years at the Tower Hamlets Council, the Local Government Department advising clients on Housing, NHS and Social welfare laws. She also had the opportunity to gain work experience in various Law Firms; one notable among those was being selected as an intern at the Thomas Cooper LLP for excelling at writing a legal essay on Carriage of goods by Sea.

Since returning to Bangladesh Mafruha has been focusing her practice on general Corporate law, Energy, Oil and Gas, Company and Intellectual Property Law, Admiralty and Maritime Law, Banking and Corporate Finance, Dispute resolution and Arbitration.
